Koi

I just finished folding Robert Lang's scaled koi. Obviously this version does not have the full 900 hundred scales but I wanted to start small. I am pleased with how this turned out though!

Angel Update

I am pleased to say that someone tried folding the angel I designed and it actually turned out really well! His username on The Origami Forum is kowal. Here is what his final product looks like:

Thanks everyone, and keep folding!

Angel

After a bit of work I have come up with a crease pattern for an angel. I actually made a CP for both a male and female version; the only difference being the male has legs and the female has a gown.

Angel

As of now, I am working on designing an angel using box pleating. This will be my first attempt at designing a box pleated model so I'm a little new to the ideas. However, I have an idea of how I will do the wings to make them large and elegant and hope to incorporate fingers into the final product. I'll post a picture of the CP once it is finished.

Design Ideas

This summer, I am studying abroad in Ecuador and the Galapagos islands. Because I will be doing a lot of observations on the animal life there, I thought I'd take advantage of this and design some origami off of what I learn. I recently finished a rough draft of a blue footed booby, but I'm definitely looking for more ideas. Anyone have any?
